Juzni vetar Rakia is crafted with 100% natural ingredients and pure spring water. The local plums, pears, apricots, and quince are hand-harvested to craft a distillate that’s aged for a long time. Faithful to the style, this one is made with ripe, hyperlocal quince from the Bijeljina and near cities and towns. The resulting pale, sun-yellow/orange hue of the Dunja Barrique and its delicate notes of quince, honey, and blackcurrant come from the traditional „Quercus petraea” oak barrels used for aging (also harvested from the local forests). Your introduction starts with floral aromas, giving way to a hint of spice and citrus on the front palate, followed by round, forward notes of quince and deep baking fruit at the finish.
